Miscellaneous Projects

Other projects I’ve worked on over the years,

that don’t fit into narrative for game design.

Hydrant.jpg

Fire Hydrant

Here’s an image from one of the models I made in my 3D modeling class. There are others, but they were just practice stuff.

This is a more modern fire hydrant.

Blunt Trauma Weapon

I was tasked with designing a blunt trauma weapon. The professor said he used to ask for bladed weapons, but everyone would just turn in Katanas. So my mind immediately went to a baseball bat with hammers attached to it, using railroad spikes. Why was that where my mind went? I don’t know.

Caravan_1.jpg

Fantasy Caravan

I was told that all we had to do was make a fantasy caravan. It didn’t have to follow traditional fantasy tropes, it could completely ignore them, it just had to look like a functional caravan.

So I made a pioneer caravan with fantastical elements. I did this because I knew everyone else would make a caravan that looked like an elf that sold potions, lived inside it.

Station_1.png

Train Station

I made the scene models in Maya, made the textures in Substance Designer and Substance Painter, and then ported the assets into Unreal 4, and used Unreal 4 to render the images.

I may have made the lights too bright, in retrospect.
