Narrative Design

The individual narrative projects I’ve worked on,

organized from newest to oldest, from top to bottom.

Halloween Story

This is the first project I made using “Twine”, which if you’re not familiar, is an open-source program for telling non-linear stories.

The game itself is purely text-based. It’s an interactive choice-based narrative, with only a few visual elements. So I’m sure some people would hesitate to even call it a “game”.

Around the time I made this, it was getting close to Halloween, so I gave it a more spooky atmosphere.

If you’re not comfortable with horror stories, I would recommend not reading through this one.

By clicking the button down below, you’ll be able to download the game, which is an HTML file. You should be able to play it by just double-clicking it, after that, but if it doesn’t work, you’ll have to manually open it in Google Chrome. The version of Twine this was made in, was a bit finicky.

Omnipotent

This is an interactive choice-based narrative game, made in twine, just like the previous game.

Awake

This is another choice-based narrative game. It’s shorter than the other two, as I made it in my spare time one day, rather than dedicating a full day to it, like the previous two.

However, it’s length does not detract from it, in my opinion. It’s a story about my opinion on AI, and how it’s often portrayed in media. I wasn’t very subtle when writing this, so this will probably be clear, if you play the story.
